The Art of Autism congratulates Temple Grandin who received her Star this week in the National Cowgirls Hall of Fame. Located in Fort Worth Texas, the National Cowgirls Museum and Hall of Fame is dedicated to honoring women of the American West who have displayed extraordinary courage and pioneering fortitude.
Temple Grandin was inducted to the Cowgirl Hall of Fame in 2010. Temple’s innovations for more humane livestock handling has changed the lives of millions of animals. Her ability to think like a cow has enabled her to design over half of all cattle facilities in the United States. “Using animals for food is an ethical thing to do but we’ve got to do it right. We’ve got to give those animals a decent life and we got to give them a painless death. We owe the animal respect.”
Earlier this year Temple Grandin was named into the National Women’s Hall of Fame.
