Journal club: Mosaic mutations in autism
Description

This Spectrum journal club will focus on two papers published this year that explore the role of mosaic mutations in autism.

Rebecca Barnard, a postdoctoral researcher in Brian O’Roak’s lab at Oregon Health and Science University, will describe results from their paper “Exonic mosaic mutations contribute risk for autism spectrum disorder.”

Elaine Lim, a postdoctoral fellow in Christopher Walsh’s lab at Harvard Medical School, will present findings from their paper “Rates, distribution and implications of postzygotic mosaic mutations in autism spectrum disorder.”

These presentations will be followed by a discussion session. We invite readers to submit questions for the presenters before and during the webinar.
