Apple Focusing on Autism Acceptance
Description

April 2 is World Autism Awareness Day. The Art of Autism believes Acceptance is different than Awareness.

In honor of Autism Acceptance, when people open their Apple App store today, they will see a curated selection of Apps for Autism Acceptance.

Here is what it looks like in Today’s Section.

Apple Autism Acceptance

Apple is dedicated in making the world more accessible for people will all disabilities.

Last month Apple proposed 13 new emojis that would better represent hearing aids, guides, and prosthetic limbs in a submission to the Unicode Consortium the proposal states – “At Apple, we believe that technology should be accessible to everyone and should provide an experience that serves individual needs. Adding emoji emblematic to users’ life experiences helps foster a diverse culture that is inclusive of disability.” Noting in its proposal that this is a starting point, we look forward to more emojis in the future. Read more about the emojis in this blog.
