Question for Expert :: Professor Ian Hale

Asked by :: Mr Gary Jesch

Hi Dr. Hale, I'm curious about what you are working on these days. Do you have another book in the works? How about an advocacy effort? What's your latest project involving autism?

Thank you very much.

Hi Gary,

Hope you and the rest of the crew are doing well, thank you for your question.

Have been doing a lot since the New Year. Firstly have completed the draft manuscript for the second Autism book, to be entitled "A Question of Autism". Learned a great deal while interviewing and researching for it.

Secondly, (am now allow to say publicly) I have been awarded The "World Icon of Peace" Prize for 2017 by the World Institute of Peace-a function of the Commission of the African Union, for work, over a number of years, mostly diplomatic (no connection with Autism) and Educational.

Thirdly, have been honoured by the world's governing body of poetry-the UPLI (United Poets Laureate International,in Manilla, for poetry and successfully published the third volume of my "Journeys" trilogy of books-"Letters from the Dragon's Lair", which has received extraordinary critical acclaim ......

"This wonderful collection culminates in “Towton Field”—perhaps the finest true Epic poem of our time, and one which invites comparisons with both Tennyson and Macaulay, certain to captivate all readers who appreciate a stunningly candid and masterful historical narrative presented in this form and likely to occupy a special place in the genre..."

My aim for the future is to get speaking/lecture tours, TV and other media interviews, to further promote the understanding of Autism-and creativity and to clarify structural methodology towards those twin goals.

Ian C E Hale.
